Conwy Beekeepers is willing to list apiary sites offered or wanted within our catchment area, including Conwy County and neighbouring counties.
We are always grateful when members of the public offer space for beehives on their land. Our role is to put landowners in touch with local beekeepers. We can also offer advice by email on the suitability of a site.
In general, a suitable site should be:
- Below 800ft above sea level
- Sheltered
- Accessible by vehicle
- Close to good forage (flowers)
Sites near heather are particularly valuable.
Arrangements are usually informal. A typical arrangement is one jar of honey per hive per year.
