Whether you maintain dozens of hives or are simply curious about keeping your very first colony, Conwy Beekeepers offers a warm, supportive community for everyone. Originally founded as the Aberconwy & Colwyn Beekeepers, our organisation registered as a Non-profit Company Limited by Guarantee in 2014 and remains affiliated with the Welsh Beekeepers’ Association. Our members range from complete beginners to veterans with over 50 years of experience.
What We Do
- Education & Training: We host regular winter talks and hands-on summer apiary sessions to help members develop their practical skills.
- Pollinator Advocacy: We actively raise public awareness about the vital role of honeybees and wild native pollinators.
- Historic Local Events: Since 1990, we have organized the annual Conwy Honey Fair and Conwy Seed Fair.
- Global Impact: Proceeds from our annual fairs and fundraising directly support Bees for Development, helping communities in developing countries build sustainable livelihoods through beekeeping.

We meet every month on Thursday or Friday evenings, either in person at Rowen Memorial Hall or by Zoom.
