Join us for our next educational session on Sunday, 16th August, where we will be focusing on one of the most critical aspects of colony health: Varroa management.
What Weβll Be Covering
As we head further into the late summer, keeping on top of Varroa levels is essential for the health and winter survival of our bees. In this session, we will be:
- Monitoring Techniques: Learn how to accurately assess Varroa mite levels within your colonies.
- Treatment Options: Explore various methods of treatment, when to apply them, and best practices for responsible management.
- Practical Guidance: We will walk through the identification and monitoring processes to ensure you feel confident managing your own hives.

- Cost:Β Free (Booking is required via Ticket Tailor)
- Biosecurity & Safety: Please ensure you arrive with clean bee suits and wellington boots to maintain our apiary’s biosecurity.
- Need a Suit? If you do not have your own protective equipment, we have suits available to borrow. Please be sure to request one when you book your ticket so we can have it ready for you.
Preparation: We highly recommend bringing a notebook and pen to jot down the key takeaways regarding treatment timings and dosage protocols.
